How We Got Started
In 1998 we started with one small greenhouse to use as a hobby to grow our own plants.
People in the community then started showing interest, which sparked the hobby turning into what is now Hilltop Gardens & Greenhouses (HTG) growing to 14 greenhouses with over 34,000 square feet under cover.
Some of Our Specialties
We grow over 700 varieties of annuals, a large selection of perennials, vegetable plants and native wildflowers.
We specialize in combination hanging baskets and patio container baskets and on opening day you can find as many as 7,000 to choose from in our greenhouses.
We also offer a variety of seeds, gardening accessories including gloves, birdfeeders, gardening tools, watering attachments, fertilizers, potting soil, mulch, and much more with new items arriving every spring.
New in 2016 we added a gift room which offers a variety of home décor, gourmet food items, fairy garden accessories, jewelry, scarves, candles, and much more.
We’re a Garden Center Source
We have established relationships with many garden centers and greenhouses for which we provide annuals, vegetables, perennials, hanging baskets, and patio containers.
Take a short drive and come straight to the growing center, see where other garden centers are buying their plants.
Famous For Our Mums
We have huge high quality garden mums that are started in June and are ready by September and October. Currently we have over 2,000 mums to choose from in a variety of colors and bloom times.
We also offer pumpkins, gourds, and straw in the fall.
Native Wildflowers
We’re ready to help you with any of your native wildflower needs. We have been growing native flowers since the beginning of our business and have grown most every variety.
These plants require much different handling and growing practices than the normal hybridized annuals most greenhouses produce.
If you’re looking for an extremely different landscape than your neighbor think about planting some native wildflowers.

Our diverse staff currently has a combined 40 years of experience in the floral industry and is also available to help with cut flower arrangements, silk and dried flowers, weddings, or whatever your special occasion. Our customers have commented this brings that extra added touch to designing your custom planting.
